What we offer
Each session runs from 9 am to midday with additional afternoon sessions from midday to 3 pm. We also offer extended sessions which include a lunch club. Please contact us for current session times.
We believe that children need to be empowered to direct their own learning. A wide range of activities is on offer daily, examples include; small world play, sand/water trays, malleable/messy trays, arts and crafts, role play, letter/number/shape activities, music and movement and mark making. The children can also choose resources and activities making decisions about how they would like to spend their morning. The children have access to outside play every day come rain or shine!
We try to cook with the children regularly and have our own tried and tested recipe book to choose from. We provide a healthy snack and drink during each session. The children are encouraged to assist in the preparation of the snacks being the snack chef.
The children have daily access to a laptop, cameras and printer, enabling them to print their work or photographs taken during the course of the session.
We regularly invite visitors to our setting, such as: librarians, health visitors, parents who may have a skill to share, the local vicar, and the police. Giving the children insight into the wider community and the world in which they live.
We try to make regular outings and visit local businesses (apple juice producer, local plant nurseries, fire station) where the children can learn and gain an understanding through our environment.
All outings have staff ratio of 1:2 ensuring safeguarding your child is our ultimate importance.
Our fees are £18 per 3 hour session (£6 per hour). There is an additional £1 snack charge per session. Invoices are issued each term for sessions requested.
